Positive if they're actually humorous and original, like all jokes. Obviously it depends on each specific instance and the audience... like all jokes, once again.
I think some here are ignoring the coping mechanism that humor can provide in the right situation. Sometimes it's for the best not to take thing so seriously.
Although, I am somewhat baffled by those who are extremely offended by such jokes yet have no connection to the actual event. That actually offends me more than any jokes themselves.
