Neither. I'll take Daines and Collins. Tongue

Yes, but for the non Democrats/liberals/leftists, it's basically a "gun to your head, which one do you pick?" question. Tongue

Amanda Curtis (D), though neither will win. Both are sufficiently liberal, and it's only a matter between whether someone would rather have Steve Daines or Susan Collins as the Republican Senator in this scenario in which case, I prefer Collins.

The Maine Senate seat will be there for Democratic taking once Collins retires in 2020 or 2026, but defeating an incumbent Republican Senator in Montana wouldn't be easy; we barely beat Conrad Burns in a wave, and taking down Daines would (and will) be no easy task. Curtis would at least have 6 years time to build recognition, funds, and something to run off of in 2020.

Collins is far more preferable to Daines and it seems that Bellows/Curtis are very similar politically speaking.

Both are friends of mine, I like them both, if I had to choose it'd be Bellows because of her civil liberties and drug war stances, I feel she'd have more impact in the Senate sort of like Elizabeth Warren. Curtis to me would be more likely to just introduce a few bills and vote but not cause a lot of ruckus.

Curtis is better than Bellows. I often think Bellows is a bit too obsessed with weed and the NSA.

Bellows. I'm honestly more of a left-libertarian than a socialist.

Curtis is the best Senate candidate ever, so obviously her.

I'm quite happy with Curtis, though here in Montana her opponents are using out-of-context snippets of her video blog postings to great effect - painting her as a militant anarchist who hates religion, guns, and fails to grasp the importance of the family unit.

Curtis is with the Wobblies but has downplayed where she stands, ideologically. She is definitely a socialist, quite possibly an anarcho-syndicalist, but I cannot be sure of the tendency.

Bellows. The more I learn about Curtis, the more notes I take on how NOT to act as a future teacher.

.... Plus I'd vote for Daines anyway if I lived in Montana.

Curtis (D). The question is really between a Senate of Curtis and Collins versus Bellows and Daines. I'd expect either Democrat to be reliable vote in the Senate, so that's pretty much a wash there. The difference is between Collins and Daines. Collins will on occasion defect to the Democratic side on certain votes, but I would expect Daines to be a very reliable Republican vote.

Anarcho-syndalists are by favourite kind of leftists, so Curtis.
