Yes. The economy would be worse for wear at some point due to the loss of federal support to maintain infrastructure but it'd be worthwhile to scrap 150 nuclear weapons and establish a socialist republic in a (relatively) affluent, post-industrial setting. There really isn't even the slightest chance this would ever happen though in a place like contemporary Montana.
