The real thing is in five days, which is when the results of this poll will appear.

No. They need England's guiding hand...without which the nation would collapse, into a pile of incredulous overanalyzation of simple tasks. It is, unfortunately, the Scottish way.

I mean... Golf for example.

Sure, why not? Ideally, countries wouldn't exist at all if I had my way, but localizing governments as much as possible is pretty cool as a plan b.

I voted no mainly because I'd have to make new avatars for the forum, and I don't feel like doing that.

Absolutely!  Anything that makes an independent Basque homeland more likely is a good thing in my book.

Yes.  Besides my decentralist bias, an independent Scotland would make rUK politics considerably more sensible (it might help to desectarianize Northern Ireland politics as well), while Scotland itself would instantly run out of other people's money upon independence, forcing them to move towards a productivity-based economy (or possibly a speculation-based economy, a la pre-financial crisis Ireland or Iceland, but even that would be an improvement over the current subsidization and transfer-payments-based economy, with some resource extraction and speculation).  There would be some growing pains, but it would be, in the end, the best thing to happen to Scotland since the Industrial Revolution.

Also Scotland would have by far the ugliest parliament building out of any independent country. I hope you silly nationalists can live with that in the event of a 'yes' vote.

Though I'm all for independence, i do think that autonomy would work better. I've always wanted to see an independent Scotland since I was like 6 or 7, but honestly I have too see more reasons for Scotland to go. If it's for efficiency, then yes. If it's because of not being able to whine at Parliament, then no. Unless if they go Fifth of November, or if England is going 18th century, I would support it, but honestly I would hate too see the Union Jack changed. Also, if Scots get independence, then Ireland would go to war over North Ireland. Not only at, currently Europe is in a very horrible economic status. Right here, right now? No.

A British loyalist American is a distressing phenomenon.

Also, if Scots get independence, then Ireland would go to war over North Ireland.

Yes, definitely.
