Scratch Sandia.  I didn't bring a jacket because I rarely get cold, but Dad thinks since I just got over being sick that I would get so cold at 11,000 feet that I might get sick again which I can't afford since I'm job searching.

I've still got a small cough as it is, so I don't want to chance it.

I'm so close to reporting for trolling, Bushie.

If you're not going to go to the top of Sandia Peak, you should at least check out the Petroglyphs. Nobody knows exactly what they are really all about.

The family (apparently regularly) drives 16 hours round trip to stay somewhere for maybe a day and a half? It's clear that Bushie's bizarre eccentricities are genetic.

Meh. I've twice arrived in Chicago around 9AM, and then went home around 9:30-9:45PM the same day. Granted I took a bus each time.

I did Washington (5 hrs Chinatown bus both ways) from Philly for a day.  16 does seem excessive, especially on the regular.

I so don't get the leave at 6 AM so Dad can be rested thing.

You heartless prick. Papa has to drive all the way home. The man works 60 hours a week, takes care of the north 40, run every singe family errand, take care if two dogs, etc...and you wonder why he needs to rest?  I need to rest just typing what Papa does.

To be truthful Grumps, he only works 40 hours a week and Mom runs most of the errands since she is retired.  They both take care of the dogs.

You are definitely AT LEAST a 20-hour-a-week project these days, bub.

You misunderstand me. It's not that I'm suggesting that Papa shouldn't need rest. It's just that I would think he'd be better rested if he could sleep until a reasonable time Sunday morning. If they left around 9 AM, they could still be back in the trailer at 7 PM, which would give him plenty of time to rest for the evening. Instead, they're forcing the old man to get up before the chickens, just so he can be home at about 4 PM instead. Which would you rather do?

Foolish memphis.  They have to be back at 16:00 as to discuss the game plan for the week.

This concludes Update XVII. I'm gonna end this season a little earlier than usual because a) I don't want Jeff trying to usurp my executive producer role again and b) because I may not have that much time to get on here over the next couple of days.

Update XVIII will arrive in just a couple of minutes!
