Bushie - define logistics, and did you get a new chair?

Why is it considered a "challenge" to avoid ice cream and fries for a month?  Seriously, nothing could be easier, right?

HD, I always stay in the office for lunch and have either a block of Ramen or a Mac and cheese cup.  It's not a gourmet lunch and I am usually starving by the time I get off of an evening, but they're low on calories and don't cost me anything more than what I pay at the store.  I need to find some variety, but I don't know good and fast alternatives.  I only have 30 minutes for lunch.

Today I had an egg and blueberry yogurt for breakfast, a plum for a mid morning snack, canned chicken (5 oz) with relish for lunch, raw cauliflower and grapes for an afternoon snack.  Takes 10 minutes in the morning to gather the stuff for work.  I'm full and I'll eat salmon with brussell sprouts for dinner.  That's around 1500-1600 calories max and it's PLENTY of food.

Having a ramen or mac cup just makes you gorge later....but we've beaten this horse to death.

Ramen is cheap and low on calories because it does nothing. Any time I've eat Ramen I'm hungry again in 10 minutes.

But when  you're 285 and feel like you've had no food it's BAD news.

The diet thing is a total lost cause. I'm just hoping he can keep his job at this point.

Me too.  This "logistics" bs isn't making much sense.  Something smells wrong.

Oh my goodness, Mr Moderate.  Did you really have to condemn my food choice for tomorrow night?  At least it's not a large burger and large fries.  I see nothing wrong with spaghetti.

Bushie, did you read Moderate's quote.  He was speaking from his days as a fellow fat man......he's been where you are.  Now he's half of who he was, but only due to hard work.  He has every right to be critical given his success.

I'm now waiting on my breakfast.  I'm having eggs, bacon, and pancakes.

I probably will skip lunch and have a moderate supper when I get back to Tulsa.

I still can't say anything, as I haven't been given permission, yet,

Are you like 6 years old or something?

I wouldn't dare google "loving on kids" lest I fall into some sort of secret Attorney General watchlist.

I was thinking the same thing.

How are you getting all these days off?  Are you now part time?  Did you lose your job?

Your boss offered to give you the entire week off to mourn your uncle? I must say that I find that kind of surprising myself but whatever.

Yeah I took 3 days for my father's funeral last month.......even then I worked until 1PM on the days of the viewing and went back after the makaria.  But a week of bereavement time for an Uncle is unusual.

His boss is already moving on from him.

That's my concern.  When Bushie returns next Monday, will  his boss think:

1) Wow, I missed Bushie.......back to work!

or

2) He was gone?  Didn't notice.

On the contrary, I think Bushie would make a fantastic slumlord.

Yeah the Hobo Orgy Guy incident showed us that.

I refuse to make minimum wage on my way to success that may or may not happen.

How much will you make this week?  And next week?  Wil you have enough for next months bills and rent without tapping your college loan money?

Al's earlier suggestion about cleaning municipal toilets sounds better and better, right?

I think memphis is over stereotyping Wal Mart goers. I know plenty of affluent people who have gone there before. Not regulars, mind you, but they aren't afraid to go to Wal Mart if they are saving some money on whatever item they are looking for. I've never heard anyone say the things he's saying, like they'd never want to be caught near one, etc.

After all, you don't become rich by throwing your money away.

As a quite comfortable [upper] middle classer, I go to Walmart all the time.....why the fyck not save a ton on things.  I bought a grill there for $128. and it has 3 burners + a side burner.....works better than the $250 grill I bought last time at Home Depot.

I mean c'mon people, Walmart is just fine.

With all due respect to BK, this Walmart thing is nothing more than a pipe dream.  I guess it doesn't hurt to apply though.

How so?

He may have taken away my job, but he did not take away my determination.  I will reiterate, I am a good drafter.  I'm sorry he didn't see that, but it is his loss.

If as you say, you need brought up to speed that is NOT good........so new out of CAD(d) school  you should have been fully up to speed.  You need to practice your skills now on your new computer while you're off so you get up to speed.........forget napping......start improving.

That is provably false.  If you have the abilities the employer wanted and didn't use them........that's even worse.
