Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

When I say it will be ending soon, I don't mean anytime in the immediate future.  I believe we are somewhere between 7 and 10 years away.  That's my best guess.  However, the Bible clearly says no one knows the day nor the hour that the Son of man will return, but based on current events especially in Europe and the Middle East, I think we can get an idea.

It doesn't seem like Bushie's Bible study is teaching him very theologically sophisticated interpretations.

It doesn't seem like Bushie's Bible study is teaching him very theologically sophisticated interpretations.

"Interpretations"? You have read what this literalist church is like?

Yes. They lie to themselves and others about their interpretations being interpretations.

There are a number of stories in the Bible that genuinely do teach or purport to teach the lesson of submission to God's commandments. To try to apply the same lesson to every story in the Bible, especially one as challenging--as easy to interpret in pat and glib and compassionless ways and as rewarding not to--as Mark 14, smacks at best of laziness.
