Most New Yorker voters don't know their own political views, let alone Andrew Cuomo's.

Obviously to the right, as are most office holders in most states.

BRTD's question is, of course, unanswerable, because it assumes that Andrew Cuomo has actual political convictions.

Does the average New York voter have actual political convictions?

Or that the "average New York voter" does, either.

Why would it be any different than the "average voter"?

Only a liberal hack would answer yes.  He may be to the right of the average NYC voter, but he's well to the left of Upstate.
