I assume it is this easy to make this change, but if wrong, we'll see how to update it. Either way, voting in the Magistrate the way we do is crazy and takes too much time to fill the role.

I like this. I'm always happy to give the legislature more power. Perhaps it will make people pay better attention to our elections!

This is pretty straightforward; any last objections or additions?

Seeing no further debate, this bill is brought to a final vote. Legislators have 48 hours to vote aye, nay or to abstain.

I will wait until this one is passed, so that we can get two amendments down in one voting booth Smiley

There isn't the majority necessary for passing the amendment through the legislature under whatever rules Hash pushed through; however, we've generally held a rather 'relaxed' opinion on formal legislative procedures here, and those haven't really held sway since - well, since Hash left the legislature.

Aye.

And that should pass it.

heh heh, oops. Aye. And yeah, I always treated our rules and procedures as more like....guidelines. Hey, if Congress doesn't stick 100% by its rules why should we?

Using Congress as an example of proper behavior is terrible and I promise to never do it again
