People of Atlasia, I, the Great Socialist, have an announcement to make of unparalleled historical importance. You the great mass of socially and economically downtrodden people have suffered enough. For too long you have been ruled by a narrow and self serving elite that promotes its interests over yours; the interests of party hacks and of cronies over that of the ordinary working member of our society! The worst offenders are, as you know very well, the Communists, that party that calls itself 'Labor' and which is run by a dictator who I shall not name. They preach socialism and the rule of the common man, but do they practice it? They have recently had total control over the levers and spirit levels of government and has the result been the socialism that they claim to support? Have you benefited? No! All we have seen has been chaos, gridlock, grandstanding, incompetence, open cronyism and the flagrant abuse of power! Do not listen to them anymore, not a single word, for they have failed you.

Yet, I can hear you ask Oh children of Atlasia, what is the alternative to these Potemkin radicals? The fascist Senator Lumine or one such as him? I tell you this and I tell you now that this would be in no way an improvement. Socialism is the only solution to the great crisis the Atlasia faces. What is needed at this hour of import and of high fate is a great socialist. And I am, of course, the Great Socialist. Driving before me the great Wheelbarrow of Progress, I shall run for President in the upcoming elections.
