Literally fascist (as someone who admittedly overuses the epithet).

FF, because while some of his believes are the epitome of reactionary and disgusting, he's a very friendly person and isn't a douche about anything. Hell, I even congratulate him for surviving the onslaught of criticism that he gets on a site like this with his views.

Clear FF. Unfortunatly judging by the votes thus far it appears he's guilty until proven innocent, but he seems like a nice enough guy that some of the reasonable naysayers will eventually turn around.

Has some outright horrendous views... being a "nice" person doesn't change that.

Do you vote HP for everyone whose views you disagree with?

in that case he's an FF for helping you put things in perspective.

I was expecting his political outlook to be more communitarian and some of his social views are too far-right even by my standards. That said, TJ has a point; I can't think of anything specific NJ Christian has done to make to vote HP.

Of course not... and I don't know him enough to vote. I'm oddly principled like that.

Fair enough. I thought from your previous statement that you had voted HP on ideological grounds.

I still think he tries too hard to be shocking. Remember when his "most admired people" was a completely incomprehensible list of dictators, paleocons and (weirdly) William Jennings Bryan?

He's not worthy of a vote.

But seriously, in my view he hasn't really said anything that really deserves a vote yet.  I mean I definitely don't think he's a freedom fighter, but I really don't feel compelled to waste a few seconds of my life to log onto here, vote HP, and then insert the usual "die Sh*thead! Die!" remark.

That, and as CrabCake commented, I think he's trying way too hard to be shocking.  Voting HP might be giving him what he wants.  In that case I adamantly refuse.

Which is why, of course, I wasted five minutes coming up with this post explaining why I didn't vote.

Horrific views, seemingly nice guy. I'm not giving a literal theocrat a 'FF' vote, however. Doesn't mean I'm voting HP either.

Awful views, but I reserve my opinion of him as a person until he's around a little longer.

Can we stop acting like he is some kind of martyr?   What beating does any religious on this site take?  Anti-religion people are treated much worse around here than even the most hardened fundamentalist.

HP. Not strictly because of his awful polical views, but because, like Snowstalker or JCL, he combines constant mention of those terrible views with a pronounced lack of intellectual heft.

This ^^^
I'm geuinely surprised at the number of people willing to give this guy a pass just because he doesn't contribute to the left wing echo chamber effect here and "seems nice".

Overall FF, while to the right of even me on social issues, he seems like a nice, friendly guy.
