Not in the Northeast, but Barnes has my unconditional support.

Neither.

They both support the perversity of legalized incest while hiding behind the all encompassing civil liberties argument.

I don't recall either of them taking a stand on the issue, actually.

Northeast Gubernatorial Election - A Complete Draw

Chief Judicial Officer Barnes (Lab-ME) - 50%
Northeast Representative Sawx (TPP-NH) - 50%

Literally 50-50. This is a toss-up race folks. It looks like Sawx, a former laborite, is aiming at his right flank with his oppistion toward regional reform, while moving to keep his left flank happy with housing reform for veterans. The race between has already been heated and negative, with Barnes denying charges that he would fight for regional reform and attacking Sawx on his views on the issue. There are murmurs of a debate between the two in the coming weeks. This will be easily the most looked at race in the current Atlasia map.

My apologies to Sawx.

I do not where he stands on the Northeast act that legalizes incest.

For some reason, I got him mixed up with another member of the Northeast Assembly who supports this act.

However, I did send a PM to Sawx on Sep 18 asking him whether or not he supports this act, but as of yet he has not responded to me to tell me whether or not he supports this act.

Sorry- been busy. I support the regional right to define marriage however they please. I strongly condemn the Federal Marriage Amendment, as it is a broad overreach on regional rights.

In the PM communications between myself and Barnes, the way I read his replies, he made it clear to me that he does support the act that legalizes incest.

And as you can see from the reply here from Sawx, he as well supports the act that legalizes incest.

If its consensual sex between adults then who are we to criminalize it?

It legalizes incest, clear and simple, no matter how you choose to word it or to skirt around it.

No civilized society with which I am familiar legalizes incest.

The government has no business regulating marriage. Leave it to the churches.

While illegal, its not enforced most times --if it was consensual and between adults. I'm not advocating in favor of it, but we can promote "not incest" (so to say) without having a law prohibiting it. Similar to drugs being legal but we don't promote drug use.

On top of that is the question of how many degrees of separation is incest? Is it immediate family? First cousins? Second cousins?

Direct quote from the Northeast Same Love Act

Same Love Act
Section 1:

1. All criminal prohibitions on incestuous relations are hereby repealed in the Northeast.

It could not be more clear.  This act legalizes incest, thereby opening up a whole new can of worms from a legal perspective.

A reoccurring problem we have in Atlasia, is people writing bills badly. That, Winfield, is one of them.
