I've installed this game a number of times because I've had had a number of laptops over the years and it takes forever to download all of the crap. If this game didn't have online-only BS, the installation would take only a few minutes.

I've had times when I lost my connection with the server because my connection sucked.

More and more computer games are online-only just because they are worried about pirating. Whatever happened to consumer sovereignty?

Any computer game that is not WoW or any other MMORPG should not be afflicted with this crap. Can you imagine if GM or Ford pulled something like this?

I just want to walk into Activision's office and give them an earful as loud as possible for this BS.

The major game companies suck, more so now than ever before.  Especially Activision and EA.  About half the games I play require online access, which is fine for games like BF4 that I only play online (Origin sucks though), but it's silly for games like Minecraft that I almost always play SP or on the LAN with the boy.

Really though, it's our fault as consumers for continuing to give these people money...but I'll continue to do it because I'm an asshole and I love killing chumps.

Why are they allowed to get away with this BS?

Can't we hold them accountable or something? They need to get bent.

At least the console versions of Diablo III don't have that requirement.

That's an odd subject for a degree. Colleges keep trying too hard to be "relevant."

Someone needs to get kicked in the balls for this online-only crap, preferably, some guy at Activision or Blizzard Entertainment.
