An 18 year old ISIS supporter in a Melbourne suburb was shot dead by police after he attacked them with a knife:

On a side note, too many Australians (at least in WA, not sure about your neck of the woods Polnut) have little to no respect for the police Sad

Well, many police have given themselves a bad name. But my two brothers-in-law are QLD police officers. So I hear stories of dodgy police officers (and practices)... but the overwhelming majority do a good job in a very very difficult field.
