Remember that Tories are uniformly No; Perth & Kinross still has a lot of those.

Good point, although it's also a good SNP area, both in the 2010 Westminster and 2011 Holyrood elections.

Perth and Kinross was a substantial loss for the Yes camp.  The rumor is that Glasgow is coming soon and it is a Yes win.
It's a safe yes area, but the margin just isn't going to be big enough to overcome the rest of Scotland. I'd be very, very surprised if yes somehow catches up.

Margin nowhere near enough; this can be officially called as a No.

Very underwhelming. There's no way Yes can make it up.

Glasgow only narrows it to 54.34-45.66. That's just pathetic.

Turnout should have been bigger for the miracle to happen.

Did Glasgow have the lowest turnout of any place?

I wonder whether the Yes campaign miscalculated in its strategy? Utopia works with a certain section of the population (I maintain that No was way too late on countering that), but not so much elsewhere.

Did Glasgow have the lowest turnout of any place?

Yes, so far.

Lots of hilarious excuses and rationalization going on among the Yes side. They seem to have difficulty believing that Scottish people could actually vote this way of their own volition.

Looks like my 53-47 prediction was actually pretty close to accurate, Edinburgh may make it exactly that.

BBC: NO needs 566,613 (more) votes to win.
