What would change in the politics? How would the foreign policy be different? How about domestic policies?

Scotland is like Vermont politically, whereas the greater UK is perhaps Washington, Minnesota, California, New York or something. UK is generally liberal - even the Conservative party is more or less in line with US Democrats while the Scots politically feel much more Scandinavian than British. Tongue

It makes me feel so uneasy the amount of things wrong with this statement.
