Who knows, but that doesn't really matter since we're already doing something. We're conducting airstrikes against ISIS and arming Kurdish forces. Not arming Syrian rebels isn't akin to "doing nothing."

Point is, it's not like we "have no choice." That's just not true.

Edit: Just found one. According to that, only 48% of Americans think we should be arming Syrian rebels.
