Now he's arguing that Scotland should be able to declare independence without a referendum. In his post-referendum statements he has looked like a very sore loser.
Yeah, that sounds dumb - like he wants Nicola Sturgeon to become the next Ian Smith
. But his underlying point of Scotland becoming de facto independent through progressive devolution is a good one, though. We Danes are seeing that with Greenland and the Faroes. With increased autonomy they are slowly, but inevitably, developing into separate countries. I think that's the route Scotland will take as well, and obviously with far greater consequences.
