No, and no. Every time the voters in a state have been asked to outright ban abortion, it's been rejected by wide margins, even in the most conservative states. Obviously Mississippi with 58% in 2011, but also 60% in Wyoming in 1994. South Dakota twice voted in consecutive elections to keep abortion legal.
I take no position on the morality of abortion. To each his own. But I support legal abortion for the same reason Ronald Reagan signed the bill to legalize abortion in California: if it's illegal, women are going to resort to unsafe, unhealthy, and dangerous methods that will endanger their lives. For that reason, it must always be legal.
