Guys, this isn't even a question. Even a prominent Dem State Representative said Wolf was "awful" in the debate.

The question is, how much will it matter going into the bigger debates.

The question is:  Do you believe as many as 14 people on this forum watched that debate?

As I said elsewhere, that's not the point. Of course this wasn't a well watched debate. It was on PCN on a Monday night, for crying out loud. Tongue

But it sets the tone for the next debate and the media reaction to it, even basically no one that can be swayed watched, at least changes the conversation from "This is over. Seriously." to "Hey, Corbett put up a fight. This might be worth watching."

At worst it changes the conversation to "Hey, Corbet put up a fight. Too little to late, he's dead."

Corbett won, but it wasn't a game changer, which in a sense is a win for Wolf considering the current state of the race. Wolf seems to be sticking to the same strategy he used in the Democratic primary debates when he was ahead in the polls by gigantic margins and getting hammered by Schwartz and McCord. Playing it safe, staying positive, and not making any significant missteps. It worked then, so I guess he doesn't feel the need to fix what's not broken now. Since he has such a wide lead, he probably figures he's better off playing it safe and taking a few lumps instead of going into uncharted territory.

Well, Wolf wasn't awful in my opinion, but Corbett was a lot better. I don't really understand why he is so extremely unopoular. His record isn't that bad. The reason might be that he was treatend unfair by the media.
