http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Salle_Parish,_Louisiana

It has some interesting voting patterns.  Here are the winners of the parish in a few elections:

1991 Gubernatorial Election
David Duke (R):  67%

2002 Senatorial Election
Suzanne Haik Terrell (R):  67%

2003 Gubernatorial Election
Kathleen Blanco (D):  61%

2004 Presidential Election
George W. Bush (R):  80%

2008 Presidential Election
John McCain (R):  85%

La Salle tends to be pretty Republican, but it voted for Blanco over Jindal.

La Salle tends to be pretty Republican dislike black and brown people, but so it voted for Blanco over Jindal.

They have no problem voting for the Klansman but do have a problem voting for the Indian American? LOL. Some patriotic 'Muricans right here.

Someone should take up a challenge and find white Obama voters in La Salle Parish. Someone on CNN did it on just Obama voters in King County, TX.

To be fair, they gave Jindal 55% in 2007 and then 78% in 2011.

The Klan claims to be a patriotic organization though. It had 5 million members nationwide in the mid-1920s, and had representatives in both major parties. Hell, how far removed from that were  Strom Thurmond or Jesse Helms, other than being more "respectable" than the Klan? They were sitting US Senators as recently as the beginning of the 21st century.

Voting for Duke by a large margin back in '91, but voting against Jindal in '03?

Some horrible voters live there, that's for sure!

Its 85.5% McCain, but 84% white...seems like there should be at least a handful.

I can't generalize based on its politics, but the fact that it voted for David Duke and Kathleen Blanco with over 60% in each case is enough to put a bad taste in my mouth (even with the last two numbers there.)
