Not really interested right now.

And I'm also "not ready for Hillary".

What about you ?

Not really at all, right now. It becoming a HillRod Wankfest will diminish my interest even further.

Not a whole lot. February of next year is when I'll start getting interested.

Close to 0%. I can't see anyone running that I would actually support (outside of lifting the 22nd and allowing our great current president to run again, obviously). It seems like it's gonna be one of those "I guess this person isn't as terrible as the other" or "Might as well vote third party because this state won't swing" elections...

Yes, exactly this, although obviously replace "might as well vote..." with "might as well cast my crucial endorsement ballot for...".

What about you ?

Somewhat.  I'm much more interested in the 2014 Governor's race than in any other.

Among the three declared Democrats I like Vermin Supreme best.  Among the two declared Republicans I can't say I like either.  One is a prohibitionist and the other is a criminal.  But it's always like this two years out:  the only declared candidates are are all joke candidates.  Hopefully serious people will enter the race.  I'd like to see a Deval Patrick versus Rand Paul race, or something like that.

I'll never be ready for Hillary. She is as creepy as she is ruthless and untrusting.  She already has her own private NSA and isn't afraid to use it.  She certainly wasn't afraid to hire private investigators when her husband was governor of Arkansas to follow him around.  When the Lewinski story broke, she hired tough guy Anthony Pellicano to dig up dirt on her. He's now in jail for criminally harassing and terrorizing women, but there are plenty more tough guys out there for hire.  Plenty other women have been terrorized by her as well.  Thanks to Julian Assange, we also know that she has no qualms ordering the CIA to obtain DNA samples, illegally, from UN diplomats.

I don't think her goal is a police state, but given that we're already devolving in that direction, I think having her as our nation's top cop would only speed up the process.  It's frightening.

I really hope Hillary Clinton crawls back into whatever hole she crawled out of, but I'm afraid that there's quite a bit of evidence that she'll run for the nomination.  I may just have to register as a Democrat and vote for whatever leading candidate is running against her if she does.

It's getting kind of old, and I'm starting to focus more on the 2020 primary race now.  Will soon start tracking visits to Iowa by, e.g., Tom Cotton, Mike Lee, and Nikki Haley for that purpose.  Which of them do you think has the best shot at the nomination?  Who would have the best chance against President Clinton in the general?

Russ Feingold?  Remember him?  He was a bailout opponent who was deposed by the anti-bailout tea party in favor of a bailout beneficiary.  Love the irony.

Feingold versus Paul Ryan.  There's a stark contrast.  I'd like to see that.

I'm always at least somewhat interested in every upcoming presidential election, but I admit that 2016 isn't shaping up to be too interesting.

The Republican primaries will be a circus, some un-presidential fool will be the nominee, and Hillary will win the general in a landslide. Is this news?

Possibly.

Any Republican nominated gets my vote if the Democrats nominate Hillary Clinton.  I hate to admit that, because usually I don't agree with the "hold my nose and vote for the less stinky candidate" mentality.  In fact, I have more than once voted for third-party candidates in presidential, gubernatorial, and senatorial races when I didn't like the Republican or the Democrat, but in the case of Clinton, I'll do everything I can, legally, to help defeat her.  Usually that means helping the Republican.

I don't know why, but she has a cadre of worshippers who overlook her criminal psychology and sordid past.  It is inexplicable to me, because many of these Hillary-worshippers are otherwise well-adjusted, concerned, civic-minded citizens.  But when it comes to Hillary Clinton, they seem to go blind.  Charisma trumps all, I suppose, and when charisma doesn't work well enough, shenanigans are not out of the question.  Sort of like in the 1932 Germany federal elections.  Yeah, I went there.

The only races that I am remotely interested in at the moment are:

1) Jess Spear's bid for a seat in the Washington legislature in 2014
2) The two socialists and one rank-and-file teacher running for Chicago city council in 2015
3) Chicago mayoral race in 2015

I really couldn't care less. Barring certain candidates entering, I don't see America winning on November 6th, 2016.

I'm legitimately curious as to who the GOP will nominate. This time next year it will probably be obvious (and always have been obvious), but I haven't a clue.

The general election is a foregone conclusion, obviously.

I care a lot... but there's just nothing to speculate on right now.

I really want Bernie to throw his hat in so I can enthusiastically get behind him, rather than a tepid "sure" for Madame Clinton.

The GOP primary should be interesting, but I'm not sure I can say the same for the General. I'm not really looking forward to 2016.

I'm legitimately curious as to who the GOP will nominate.

So whom do you like?  Ryan?  Christie?  Rubio, perhaps, if he can distance himself from an immigration bill he helped write last year?  You might even want to see yet another Bush in the white house.  Or maybe we can dust Giuliani off and nominate him.  That could be fun.

Right now, definitely "somewhat". I'll probably get more invested when it starts up for real and we get out of the "TED CRUZ SEEN IN IOWA DINER" phase.

yeah, it's a guilty pleasure.  On the one hand, it's like "man, no wonder only narcissists and weirdos run for president, what with the fishbowl existence and a 24-month campaign."  On the other hand, it's like, "man, I wish they'd start getting serious already, we're just over 2 years from another election."
