I believe someone said NHmagic was a State Representative if I'm not mistaken Tongue  Maybe that was a different R-NH poster though.  Also there's a Neal Patel running for State Senate in the Clintonville area Tongue

I actually, finally used it. I put v0013 or whatever on ignore a good while back because at the time I thought it would wipe out those god-awful threads on the O.T. board, but argh, it didn't. So I couldn't resist the temptation to put CountryClassSF, DevotedDemocrat, and a couple other trolls and loonies on it. AggregateDemand is going on next time I read one of his posts, probably. It could be improved, because it doesn't wipe the person out like it should. Tongue

I mainly came here to CTRL-F myself. No hits - score!

I have never used the ignore function until this thread, in which I tested it on the Obamanation (at random, nothing against the guy) for a few minutes.

The only one on mine who still posts is OC, because I can't understand his posts when I read them so I may as well just skip them.

I think I've only ever intentionally ignored cpeeks and maybe Libertas. I accedently ignored a few people but immediatly removed them.

No one. I've tried ignoring a few people in the past, but I would always just click "show post" anyway.

The ignore feature doesn't make much sense as long as one can just click "show post", so if you want to just skip someone's post, you don't need this.

Honest question: How do some of you guys with huge ignore lists even function? I mean do you really just use Atlas as a personal echo chamber?

Most of the people on my ignore list are trolls.  Napoleon and me don't seem to get along at all so I figure it's best for all if we don't interact more than necessary.  So to answer your question, no.

Looking at his list, I don't think he has the ability to view anything OTHER than speculative 2016 maps and NewYorkExpress timelines.

Rough stuff!

As for me: just a couple 2012 Romney trolls and I don't even remember their names.

There are a lot of people that post here.  Ignoring 20 or 30 is just a drop in the bucket.  I can see the vast majority of threads in most posts.  If on the rare occasion that the first three posters in a thread are on ignore, I just figure this isn't a thread for me and back out slowly.  On the even rarer occasion that someone on my ignore list said something worth reading, it will likely be quoted.  On the very common occasion that somebody on my ignore list says something idiotic, that too will be quoted.  So I get the rare gold and all too common "did he just say that?" both without all the mediocre idiocy in between.

As I've said before, I generally read your posts.  You're only on there because of the skantly clad women in your sig from time to time.  I occasionally check the forum from work, so...

This thread is, as always, an abortion.

The only thing worse than long ignore lists is advertising your long ignore list.  Even if it's 90% trolls, there's inevitably some number of quality posters that get on there due to petty feuds or epistemic closure or whatever, and it just makes ya look small, y'know?
