Everyone should have received a platform survey in their inbox. If you didn't, please PM me and I'll send you one. I would like to see at least half of the Labor Party vote on what it is they'd like to see in our October 2014 Labor Party platform.

I would like to note that I am preparing a new set of by-laws for consideration by the party.

I nominate the great city of San Antonio, Texas

That isn't in the Northeast.

I second Buffalo.

I am preparing a revised version of the by-laws, but in doing so, I would like to solicit some feedback from the rank-and-file.

What would you like to see done differently in Labor? How can we do things better? One proposal I'm toying with is term limits for members of the Politburo and requiring a pledge for officeholders to retire after a certain number of consecutive terms in one position or another. I think that both of these would strengthen our party because they would open up avenues for new members to get involved. What do you all think?

I think it's also clear that we need to reform the platform process. Perhaps we should get rid of the Vice Chair position and instead create a committee that would be responsible for drawing up proposals that would be voted on by the whole party like we're doing this time around.

Would sawx and X mind engaging in their campaign of falsehoods and half-truths elsewhere? We've got a convention to attend to, and I would appreciate not having to scroll through walls of text in order to have to address my own party's debate on the bylaws, thanks.

What does everyone think about term limits for serving in the Politburo?

Personally I think we would be fine with just one elected official: a Chairman, who is term limited to two consecutive terms and then can run again once one term has elapsed.

The October 2014 Labor Party Manifesto, Toward an Atlasian Renaissance, has been compiled based upon the platform survey results and is presented here for your consideration.

We have already approved Buffalo, NY as the next convention location.

The next order of business is electing the new Politburo.

As I have previously stated, I will be a candidate for Chairman.

I nominate Talleyrand for Vice Chair.
