Is it any surprise that this is a Republican-voting part of California?

"It angers me because people aren’t looking at the overall picture,” Butler said. “What are we supposed to do, just have dirt around our house on four acres"

Um, yes? You live in a desert hun!

And she defends the amount of water she and her neighbors need for their vast estates.

You could put 20 houses on my property, and they’d have families of at least four. In my house, there is only two of us,” Butler said. So “they’d be using a hell of a lot more water than we’re using.”

People like that live in Utah too, and they're worse since Utah is drier and we don't have the excuse of being in a coastal state.

I find it weird how some people want to live in deserts while also having green lawns. And I say this as somebody who actually likes the desert.

Kill With Wildfire is more apt these days.

But yeah, this is beyond pathetic and the logic used is dizzying.

So if you can pay for it you should be able to use it? Okay sure. Just make it progressively more expensive once it is used beyond the established limit.

Drought?  There's no drought.  I turn on my tap and water just keeps coming out.  As an experiment, I've had my tap in the bath on full blast for the last nine days, and the water is still coming just fine.  Droughts are other people's problem, you see.  You liberals worry too much.
