That's debatable after being down 6 in a Seltzer poll and having been tied/trailing in almost all polls for the last month.  He might win, but I'd give him a 45% chance at best.

The media was surprisingly friendly to Ernst......people like Chuck Todd were kind of rooting for her to win just because Iowa's never had a female congressperson. Other female conservatives have not had such luck. This helped her in addition to Braley being a doofus.

Just to illustrate you how much Braley has allowed this race to flip out of his favor, my rating of IA-SEN just before the farmer comment (Braley's first mistake) was LIKELY D. Now, I have it at Toss-Up/Tilt R.

That's a good point. We'll see if the trend continues before giving Braley an F.

Well, there is a difference between a 52% on a test and a 13% on a test but at the end of the day, they are both Fs.

Very true, and that goes for all election campaigns in FPTP elections. Grading makes sense in PR elections and the mixed models, but not in FPTP.
