Come to think of it, I should have asked to sit in the machine, after he placed the "pack-man," and showed me how to drop it, and done a swing myself. Damn!   But it all happened so fast, so I didn't have time to plot and plan yet another little gambit into the pleasure palace.

May be true as to the former, but not the latter. Indeed, the owner of the company was at the wheel. Private sector unions are largely dead - even in NY, believe it or not.
