I am good at drawing and accurate, but I may not have the patience for it.

Absolutely! And I wished that  I had the skill. I have yearned to have it in the recent past, figuring out how to alter structures, and so forth. But alas, I just don't have the time. I have way, way too many hobbies, and obsessions, and responsibilities.  I wish I didn't have to sleep. I need to use all 24 hours to get it all done.

I don't think so. I was never very good at those standardized test questions where you'd have to visualize some object and then answer how it would look from a different angle. I assume CAD(D) requires a lot of that.

Probably, though I would have to pick up a few more skills. I took classes in it for four years in school but a lot of the expensive, professional software out there comes with a mind-boggling number of features to master.

I was OK at those, but for me the drawing would really kill it.  I'm bad at that stuff.

Also, Atlas is a place where most think they could be an actuary but not a CADD drafter.  Says something interesting about the forum's demographics and abilities. Tongue

I doubt it. That sort of thing isn't for me. I wish Jeff would realize it isn't for him either.
