I'd give him an A.  The fact that he could go from having an approval rating in the low 30's to being able to consistently lead his opponent in a state with sympathy toward downballot Dems is pretty impressive.  Kentucky Opportunity, along with the McConnell campaign, produced some very effective ads against Grimes.  6 months ago, I probably would've projected a Grimes victory.  Now, that seems quite unlikely.

B. His campaign has been okay, but it certainly has had some bumps here and there.
Also, I can't give him nearly as much credit here, because his state is quite red in federal elections.  I always thought he'd pull out a moderate win. It wasn't going to be easy or pretty, but I never actually thought he'd lose.

A so far, as it appears he is going to comfortably win a race Democrats really wanted and thought they could win.

D. His own campaign manager had to resign in disgrace...

Also, for what it's worth, this and this didn't do him any help. Tongue

What sort of campaign he ran never mattered, he's totally supported by the partisan tilt of the state. He could have run over someone with his car on live TV and still won the race. Kentucky is not the smartest state, let's be real here.

Adam, that's the first time I've ever seen the "What rhymes with Alison Lundergan Grimes?" video. I am completely lost for words.

He, like Harry Reid, knows how to pass.

How has the Grimes campaign been an F? Last I heard it was one of the best this cycle.

Mitch's campaign stinks, but he's lucky, since The Media has been carrying him.
