79-83.  2nd place in the NL East.  For 2015...

-Matt Harvey comes back from Tommy John surgery, replacing Dillon Gee (7-8, 4.00) in the rotation

-A full year of NL ROY candidate Jacob deGrom (140IP, 9-6, 2.69 ERA, 144 Ks, 43 BB, 1.14 WHIP)

-C Travis d'Arnaud found his game after a stint in the minors, besting the league median in BA, SLG, and OPS in the 2nd half.  He is among the best hitters catchers in the NL.

-Lucas Duda (14th in the NL in OPS, 30HR, 92RBI) goes into the 2015 as the starting 1B, with no competition

-David Wright battled a shoulder injury all year before being shut down.  He was an All-Star in 2013 and should be back to form in 2015.

-Bobby Parnell will rejoin a bullpen that features Mejia, Familia, Black, Edgin, and Torres.  The Mets bullpen pitched to a 3.16 ERA in 2014, 4th in the NL.  This was achieved following a rough start where the bullpen was wholesale switched out for young, live arms.

-Prized prospect Noah Syndergaard is due to join the rotation for the 2015 season.  He routinely hits 100mph on the gun and scouts compare his stuff to staff ace Matt Harvey.

And yet, in spite of all of that, they'll finish below .500 again and will continue to be a cellar-dweller with the Phillies for the next decade

If the Mets are going to be cellar dwellers, the Phils are going to be found well below the earth's crust.  It's going to take a while for them to come back to the surface.

They're not finishing below .500 with that pitching staff next year unless something apocalyptic happens.  Totally possible with the Mets, but I think 2015 is where they turn the corner.  One hole to fill on this team, LF.

They'll finish above .500, but I'd look towards 2016 for the Mets to make it to the playoffs. They'll finish somewhere between 83-86 wins next year and contend for one of the wild card spots until late September.

You better not have to pee in a cup, Hokey.  Those are some nasty mind-altering drugs you're taking.

It's very possible that they could. Most likely as a wild card, though.
