2/4. My maternal grandmother and my paternal grandfather are still alive, and I also have a step-grandmother on my dad's side. My maternal grandmother died when my father was 12, and my grandfather remarried soon after, so my step-grandmother is all I've really known. My maternal grandfather died when I was 17.

They are all dead now. My paternal grandmother died this year 5 days prior to her 100. birthday.

My paternal grandfather died in WWII.

My maternal grandparents are not known.

Two, my maternal grandmother (1931-) and my paternal grandfather (1937-)

My maternal grandfather (R.I.P., 1930-2001) passed away when I was in primary school, and my paternal grandmother (R.I.P., 1938-2013) passed away almost a year ago.

None, though they all lived to at least late-seventies.

All of them except my paternal grandfather who died before I was born. Also, two of my great-grandparents are still alive.

Maternal grandparents (ages 78 and 80) are still alive.

Paternal grandfather died well before I was born and paternal grandmother died when I was a baby, but that's to be expected as they had my father very late in life (40s) and he in turn had me very late in life (40s).

Well, my mother's mother died from cancer, which has actually really decimated many of my blood relatives...

My stepdad's mother had a history of heart problems. His dad would've lived longer (probably not much since he had just been diagnosed with colon cancer), but he ended up choking to death on his food...

Two. Fortunately, both of my maternal grandparents are still alive.

My paternal grandfather died in December 2011 and my paternal grandmother died in February 2013 (which I posted here at the time), so my dad lost both of his parents over the course of 15 months (they had been divorced since something like 1997). Both were 75 when they died. He died of a heart attack related to diabetes and she died of blood clot after ankle surgery. Both were very unexpected losses. While I didn't have a close relationship with my paternal grandfather, it did affect me. The loss of my grandma was much worse and still remains very painful. Until then, I had never really understood what it meant to not get over a death, but that you just have to accept and live with it.

They're all dead. My favorite of the bunch lived to be 90, which isn't too bad considering the average life expectancy of a Jewish woman born in Poland just after the First World War.

None of them.

Paternal Grandfather: 1940-2005 (Typical Hungarian male, smoked and drank heavily)
Paternal Grandmother: 1934-2013 (Some kind of respiratory condition)
Maternal Grandfather: 1929-2005 (Also a respiratory condition)
Maternal Grandmother: 1933-1993 (Breast cancer)

Technically three, but I voted two. Both my grandmothers are alive, my paternal grandfather is dead, and my grandmother's second husband, who's not my mother's biological father, filled in as my grandfather and he's been dead 5 years. The piece of s*** who's biologically my grandfather is out there somewhere and he's still alive and kicking.

one or two depending on how you look at it.
mother's mother - is alive and healthy
her second husband - died last year
mother's father - died earlier this year
his girlfriend (there has to be a better word) - is alive but had a second stroke shortly after my grandfather died
father's father - died when he was a kid
father's mother - died when i was a kid
(she remarried too, but i think he's dead as well. never met him.)

None, but that has more to do with being a youngest child of two youngest children than anything else.

Paternal grandfather: 1917-2007 (90)
Paternal grandmother: 1919-2000 (80)
Maternal grandfather: 1915-1998 (83)
Maternal grandmother: 1917-2014 (96)

All of my great-grandparents died at least 10 years before I was born, although only one of them died before the age of 70.

Despite both her and my maternal grandfather's longevity (he smoked almost his whole adult life, so his 83 is practically a smoking-adjusted 100 Tongue), my maternal grandmother outlived two of her four children, who died in 2012 (age 68) and 2013 (age 71).  I am very grateful that both of my parents (particularly my mom) are in excellent health Smiley
