Ah, remember the good old days in October 2012? When we suffered so much but eventually everything turned out fine? Those were the days.

But there's little reason to think 2014 could be a repeat of 2012. For one thing, even in the worst days of 2012 we didn't get polls as bad as R+6 or R+8 in States like Iowa and Colorado. And the Romney surge was due to a debate bounce, not a sustained movement.

So, this time, do we have objective reasons to feel doomed? Or do you still hope things will sort themselves out?

I sure feel very uncomfortable these days.

I don't really care.

Sure it'd be nicer to see Democrats maintain control, but I don't see what difference it makes. Obama can veto whatever comes from the crazies.

Time to panic now? 3 weeks to go, and Begich, Braley and Udall are all trailing.
