I would have been shocked if the article said what you claimed in your subject line.

I was not shocked.

The article offers no proof that the US was involved with the coup. It doesn't even claim to.

Instead, it infers that the US "tried to keep Zelaya from returning to power" because we backed elections as soon as possible. Which is a pretty gigantic jump.

So again, US not involved in coup, as always assumed.

It was problematic that the US didn't back a return of the legally elected President like the Latin American countries, hence rewarding the coup makers for their action, but you totally ruined that discussion by the thread title.

People change their opinions, that post was from a year and a half ago.  I've changed my views a decent amount in that time frame.
