I've just always assumed it's a scam.

Shaving soap?  I don't even know what that is.  I use foam (normal).

I just use my regular Neutrogena face soap, which is blue and has rice in it lol

Of course, I just shave my above my upper lip and my chin, since facial hair has never grown on the sides of my face for some bizarre reason.

I use a mug and brush to shave with instead of shaving cream.  Inside the mug is a block of shaving soap and I use the brush and warm water to work up a good lather to spread over my face.  One block of shaving soap is cheaper than a can of shaving cream and lasts much longer.  You can find it at Walgreens or Walmart.  Regular shaving cream irritates my face too bad.

I can only get neckbeard.  It's not abnormal.

Lubriderm is my shaving cream and after-shave.  I highly recommend it to avoid razor burn.

I have used an electric all my adult life. Since I have sported a full beard since I was 21 an electric is fine to keep my neck and cheeks clean and my beard trimmed.

I use a gel at home.  Edge or Gillette, whatever is on sale.  I shave 2 or 3 times per week.

If I'm on vacation I shave less frequently.  I also don't take the can of gel with me.  If I need to shave--like, if my ten-day stubble is making my diving mask leak--then I just use soap or shampoo or whatever is available.  In that case my preference is conditioner.  The hair conditioners that hotels give you in little bottles are chemically just about the same as shavegel.  But I can use soap in a pinch.

I have to use both electric and shaving foam.  Since I only shave once every 6 to 7 months, using only the foam would be horrible and take such a long time.  The only time I tried using only a razor, I took over an hour to finish.

I'm usually lazy and just dry shave if the hair is short enough, but I also have a bar of shaving soap and as brush as well. A little bit more work that using the foam or gel but overall I'd say it is better.

I haven't shaved anything for at least a decade.  Unless your job requires it or you have a really sh**tty beard, I don't know why any man would shave.

Or is it the same ?
