it's a tiny school.  the faculty are involved in a serious dispute with the dean.  he appears to be unwilling to meet with them about their concerns and prefers to rule autocratically.  eight members of the faculty (which comprises 2/3 of the full-time faculty) then said that they will refrain from teaching any more classes until they can have a sit-down.  the dean took this to mean that they were resigning, and thus "accepted" the resignation of his entire faculty.

the eight dissident professors have opened up a website explaining their side of things.  they contend they are engaged in a "legal work stoppage".  http://www.safeseminary.org/


General Theological Seminary was established in 1817, is located in New York, and has 118 full-time (graduate-level) students.
