Something that would've been unanimous a month ago, but is now a real question.

Hagan leads in the polls and Roberts trails. Remarkably enough, the answer to this question is clear, and is the opposite of what it was a month ago.

I'm sure Senators Coakley, Giannoulias, Berg, and Rehberg agree with your sentiment.

Given that reality, and not conventional wisdom or gut-based intuition, indicates that Hagan is in a better position for re-election than Roberts: Hagan.

Exactly.  Republicans will be coming home to Roberts in ruby red Kansas.  Roberts has the national environment at his back, but Hagan will have to be battling the headwinds.  NC Democrats are much more likely to spend Wednesday morning with heartbreak than KS Republicans.

Guys, obviously I know that if the election were held today, Hagan would win and Roberts would lose. But it's in a month.

And would have been unanimous in the other direction 8 months earlier.
