Not sure. The SOAP mentions the Governor has veto power and the assembly can override. One thing you could do is rewrite the bill  and show to the representatives, veto the bill, hope they don't override having seen what you propose, and then introduce your version as a new bill.

Maybe someone else knows if you can directly redraft.
