She should stay the f**k out of CO, IA, NC, AK.

She's not popular with Indy voters there (she's toxic in CO) and would only complicate matters.

Better focus on AR, LA & KY.

For... reasons, I have a hard time seeing her stay out of Iowa.

"Indy voters" voted 60% for Romney. It's a polluted fake designation in the Tea Party era. No Democrat is popular with Indy voters.

Getting people involved with 2016 in mind is a good thing.

lol at the Atlas bubble thinking Hillary is unpopular. She's the most popular politician in America right now (granted, that's not saying very much).

48-42 is not super popular. She's no longer at 60% like she was in 2012

Well for one thing, it's 49-42. Secondly, I didn't say she was super popular. I said she wasn't unpopular (true) and the most popular nationally recognized politician in America (also true, unless you're counting those who have retired from politics). From the comments in this thread you'd think she had a Rod Blagojevich approval rating.

That's a really bad chart because most of the polls are from YouGov, so they're just averaging the same pollster over and over instead of supplanting. She's 52-40 in YouGov as of 9/22.

She's only 43-41 in NBC/WSJ on 9/7, but she was only 44-37 in that poll on 6/15 when Gallup had her at 54-43, FOX had her at 54-43, and CNN had her at 55-42. Gallup, FOX, and CNN have not asked since.

Taking these polls into proper context, Hillary is very popular.  There just hasn't been a lot of data in recent months being collected on it.

Other than Bill Clinton, there's basically no American politician that has a better net favorability right now. Don't be dumb Atlas.

Any Democratic candidate for Senate who doesn't want Clinton campaigning for them is an idiot and deserves to lose.

Not true, they voted 50-45 Romney.

Hillary is a neoliberal warmonger so her approval rating is 0%. Don't you dare put these pesky facts in the way of my reality.

But seriously, having a majority of the country (or very close to a majority) viewing you favorably is a huge deal. Most politicians would kill for those numbers, especially in this era where the public basically hates everyone.

I agree, it is most certainly excellent that Hillary is curbstomping all your joke candidates in the biggest landslide since 1984.

No one is mad. But if you think that the second most popular politician in the United States campaigning for someone is going to hurt them, then you're an idiot.

I'm glad elections never turned out drastically different than what polls said over two years out!

That wasn't really the point. The point was that in October 2014 she is seen favorably by a majority of the American public and is stomping all the GOP joke candidates, and therefore she is an asset on the campaign trail, not a liability.

Jimmy Carter has much better favorabilities than Hillary.

Jimmy Carter has much better favorabilities than Hillary.

That's only because he doesn't have a snowball's chance of getting elected to public office again.

Yeah, you can't really compare people who are never going to run for office again with those who still hold office or have ambition to hold office. It's apples and oranges. Even Dubya's ratings have improved markedly since 2008 because of this factor. Had Hillary stepped down as SoS, gave a Shermanesque statement about running for president, and essentially retired from political life except for occasionally making speeches and doing charity work, her ratings would probably still be in the 60s. She's easily the most popular politician still "in the political realm", so to speak.

I agree. I hope she will go to West Virginia, Maine and Florida as well. Even Montana, even though she's not really popular there (yet she has nothing to lose, as Curtis is already far behind there). In South Dakota, it's probably better to let the independent candidate rise without outside interference I guess.
