On Rubio:

“He’s a good guy, but after doing immigration with him — we don’t need another young guy not quite ready,"

“He’s no Obama by any means, but he’s so afraid of the right, and I’ve let that go.”

Ouch.

Graham isn't afraid of the right? Since when?

He's not an idiot, he wouldn't run trying to become the nominee.  He would run so he could get on the debate stage a few times ala Duncan Hunter and promote his more hawkish views and perhaps also his line of handbags.

And, give Lindsey a break.  He would be the first openly closeted Presidential candidate to represent the party of closet cases.

He's one of the most fearful of the right. His entire primary re-election campaign was Benghazi, for crying out loud.

Well, they voted for Buchanan in '44, a full ten years after he started living with William King, and a full seven years after Andy Jackson had taken to calling him "Miss Nancy."

What America needs is a 19th Century Southern Belle in the White House.

I thought Miss Nancy was King (the effeminate of them) and Buchanan was Aunt Fancy?

haha.  Okay, then, Aunt Fancy it was.

I don't think people said "out" back in 1844, but it seems to have been no secret about him and King.

For the record, it was Polk who was elected in '44, though I recall it being Buchanan's first time running in the convention.

Don't worry. There are many other reasons to feel ashamed about this Smiley

With South Carolina being so early, he might be able to pull off a decent showing there, but yeah, obviously this isn't going to be pretty to see.

Mark Sanford (before the scandal), Tim Scott, Jim DeMint, and Nikki Haley would all be more realistic nominees from SC, but I am seriously looking forward to the GOP debates now. Everything Graham says is going to be magnified by the Daily Show.

All of Lindsey Graham's power comes from the fact that he's a good behind the scenes operator (he basically won South Carolina for McCain in 2008), but once he's shown into the light, he's pure garbage.

If he would come out of the closet there wouldn't be an issue.

Graham probably can't get through the primary.
