This crises wouldn't be so bad if we followed the American model and put the PPT after the VP and before SOEA.

We did originally. We removed that because it's a dumb system - why should a President be replaced by a PPT who doesn't have the slighest connection to the administration people voted for?  At least Cranberry is a DemPGH appointment. Granted we weren't exactly expecting half the Cabinet to be vacant and a President to only be in office for four days, but, er...

I have to say I agree with Oakvale, it wouldn't have been really legitimate to have me on the White House in the middle of a term set for a Labor administration, not to mention being an unelected President doesn't really appeal to me, xD

We had a fluke in which almost the entire cabinet was vacant, a situation which sadly was not predictable in any way. That said, the Constitution is going to need quite a few more amendments thanks to this...

That does bring back a lot of memories. I don't regret refusing to take an unelected Presidency, but those were some troubling (if ironically fun) times.

I really miss Cranberry though. Easily one of the best Presidents we've ever had despite his brief tenure.
