If Gary King becomes Governor of NM, it will be one of the biggest upsets of all time. He's Coakley-tier and Martinez has high approvals.

It's not happening.

Who are you voting for?

Wow I had no idea. Roll Eyes

He was also Governor in the 90s, and lost re-election to Gary Johnson.

Martinez seems to have cooled off a bit in the last year.  I think the race turns out similar to Gary Johnson back in '98, with Martinez prevailing by around 8-9 points.  For a gubernatorial race though (even with the minority party in charge), that's not exactly a convincing win. Look at the likes of Rell, Bredesen, Henry, Douglas and other minority party governors over the past several years who won re-election.

If the Dems want a moral victory here, King getting 44-45% of the vote should prevent the legislature from going Republican.

I predict a King victory upset. The Udalls are likeable hear and the Latino vote strongly supports raising min wage. Maryinez may lose. Like Walker can in WI.
