Overall positive, although as most of you know I'm not Christian.

This sort of thread tends not to produce edifying discussion.

My opinion of Christianity is very high.  My opinion of many self-professed Christians is not as high.

I am personally more interested in the poll results, especially in comparison to another poll on this subforum. As expected, the results are hilarious.

In my view, of course, I have a highly positive view of some denominations of Christianity and a negative view of others, but, just to address a point raised in this thread, I'm not entirely sure as to why some people think that Christianity (as opposed to, say, certain denominations of Christianity) is so doctrinally strict. Indeed, I argue that 'Christianity' (taking it as a whole, including all denominations and views) is actually fairly flexible and adaptable doctrinally, and that this is one of the reasons as to why it has managed to become so widespread and (until recently at least in some places) successful as a religion.

Lean negative. Simply because of the effect it has had on people that I care about.

IMO, its impact has been overwhelmingly negative, so I have to lean bad. Although, Islam is far worse.

I will say, though, that the interpretations of religion by adherents is usually more insidious than the religion itself, which is interesting and probably says more about the person than the religion.

Hard to come to a single thought on a whole slew of different sects and beliefs regarding Christ. This is a pretty complicated question that's hard to answer with a definite "positive" or "negative".

As one of the most Conservative Christians on this website I view my religion positively, though there are many who give Christianity a bad name, but that's another topic.

At the sacrifice of being cliche, the story of Jesus that speaks to me pretty deeply in a way that none of the other world religions' stories do. Buddhism is probably a close second.

One is evidently more narcissistic.

Depends on which evidence and how it is used.

Fairly negative, like most religions.  There's much worse religions though.

I have a very negative view of Christianity (like most religions that have stricter doctrines).

Christianity is pretty much the loosest religion in terms of requirements you're ever going to find, which goes a long way to explaining its success.  I don't see how you could possibly interpret it as a strict faith.

Negative, as it has led to ignorance, hate, and a loss of the ability to think critically in so many of its followers.

Good, of course. Remember the majority of scientists before the theory of evolution became widely accepted were Christians; as well as all the presidents.
