Applied to York College of PA today. Hopefully going to apply to Millersville and IUP tomorrow.

Is there some sort of requirement that Atlasians must attend Millersville? Sawx, Snowstalker, and now 20RP12?

I have cousins at IUP; if you get around to visiting, let me know. I am going to apply to TCC next week. I plan on doing two years there and than moving into FSU.

Snowstalker doesn't live there. Somehow 20RP12 got roped into applying though.

I go back to New Hampshire tomorrow. God knows I need it after the whirlwind of a last few weeks I've had.

Are you coming to the "open house" event that day?  I've agreed to show people around my building from 10:30 till 11:45, then I'll head over to where they're giving away food.

Went to a city council meeting over a proposed development described here. But lots of other weird stuff happened.

-Pirate Fest: Three men dressed as pirates addressed to council to promote a day “of family fun, live music, food, and plunder.” It got a lot of laughs.

-The local troll: We have one resident who enjoys coming to each meeting to complain. He had been on the commission nearly twenty years ago and has been running in every election to the last cycle. While he has given up his dream of reclaiming his old spot, he still trolls each meeting. He blackmailed one commissioner back in 2012 for having an extramarital affair with her first cousin and came this week with emails that claim that a certain Commissioner sexually harasses waitresses at a local restaurant. He was dramatically waving them in the air, and went way over time before being forced to leave. The commissioner he was attacking simply left when he came to the podium. The guy looks like Napoleon Dynamite’s brother Kip at the age of 60 (and with dyed hair and a mullet.)

-Medical Marijuana. The crowd was surprisingly tame on Amendment 2, though was evenly split. A six month moratorium was emplaced to prevent medical marijuana businesses from popping up, though the moratorium is symbolic due to the strict regulations that accompany Amendment 2. Even if it passes, it will be a long time before the growing and distribution of legal marijuana hits the streets.

-The Crazy Guy. There was a man named Piotr Blass, who was once a professor in mathematics (I verified this on Google) and claims to have invented the internet. I kid you not. And he is running for Governor as a write-in candidate. Furthermore, he claims that his son was kidnapped by a ring of “bigoted pedophiles” years ago, and is debating Fhaid Khavari at a local IHOP. Yep. Third party debate at IHOP.

...there are two Mormon kids in white shirts and ties. They just sat down at the table right next to mine in Starbucks.

I'm going to try to act natural and pray (to real God, not Mormon God) that they don't try to work their scheme on me.

Well @#$%, I think one of them is looking at me.

Why are they even here? I thought Mormons don't drink coffee.

They are drinking water.

One of them has very Romney-esque hair. Less Craig, more Tagg.

Please be careful. Try to avoid eye contact and whatever you do, do not invite them into your home.

If only it wasn't still hot in Houston. Then I'd probably have a scarf with me that I could drape over my head like an emergency burka.

They are both wearing really horrendous ties.

There are more. More Mormons. Four more just walked in.

It's MormCon.

One of them just opened a large bag and started distributing Texas A&M t-shirts to the others. Perhaps they're trying to blend in with their surroundings so we'll let our guard down.

They are putting the Aggie t-shirts on over their other shirts.

One of them is wearing jeans. He must be the rebel of the bunch.

They are posing for a group photo in the shirts.

"Oh my gosh, this is so awesome!" said one.

Percentage of Texans Who are Mormon: 1%

I don't think this bunch is helping things.

One keeps referring to Texas A&M as "ATM."

More guys found and joined our group this week! Cheesy  We also had an event for National Coming Out Day yesterday. Not as many people decided to give coming out story monologues as last year, and only about 20 people showed up for the event, but everything still went well.

After the monologues, there was 7 of us on a discussion/question & answer panel and we gave our thoughts on things like when, if ever our society will evolve on LGBT rights, whether or not marriage itself should exist, and when it will get to the point where LGBTQA won't be discriminated against, treated differently or be asked about sexual orientation/gender identity.

In other news, my absentee ballot came in the mail today. I'm still unsure whether I'll vote absentee or vote early in person, but I got this just in case. The weird thing is, the absentee ballot I got from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections has Kasich at the very top of the ballot, even though it should be FitzGerald at top considering last names.
