So I have a bit of a dilemma. My family has a long-standing tradition of going to Illinois for the 4th of July-I've only missed it once, last year, because I had Governor's School, and I want to do it this year. But some of my very close friends from Governor's School are planning a trip together to Chicago, and I'd love to go too. Which should I choose?

Listening to From the New World. What a great symphony. I haven't heard it in too long.

Always choose the rarer event. Go with your friends.

I love Dvorak! That symphony is what first got me into classical, and it was the subject of many Quiz Bowl questions along with Rhapsody in Blue.

I got my usual computer back from the guy who was fixing it but the ‘fixing’ just created further problems. I lost hundreds of Word documents, some of which were very important, and am having problems with Firefox, Carbonite, and the touchpad. I implicitly distrust this guy now.

So I have a boyfriend now...which leaves me with much less free time to spam you guys about Hillary's inevitability. I'm sure you'll all be thrilled. Wink

Yep, the computer's still laggy as hell, which was one of the problems I wanted to get fixed. It's barely working any better at all overall, in some ways working worse.

I just got caught up on the posts other than mine in the last page or so. I'm sorry for your loss, TDAS, and sorry for taking this long to say so.

Just got finished going out for lunch with my in-laws, and now I'm waiting to go out to a birthday party for a coworker. Kind of dreading that, seeing work people outside of the context of work, but I'm sure it will be alright.

Also trying to get in to see a psychiatrist about my issues after having talked to my GP, who basically fell all over himself to give me as much support and information as possible, which was exceptionally nice of him. I am happy to be alive in this day and age sometimes.

I'll be in Israel for the next 10 days, maybe I'll run into some Republican candidates.

As my temporary change of display name indicates, I've got a small role in a local production of 9 to 5.
