A girl I knew from the camp I have worked at was found dead in her dorm room yesterday.  I only knew her a little, but she was a kind and creative person. They haven't released the cause of death. If anyone here goes to Princeton you know of this.

On Monday, all the schools I'm affiliated with were complaining bitterly about having to hack their budgets to pieces, I got an "Americans overseas beware of terrorism" email from the State Department, my students this term firmly established a pattern of having no curiosity about the class they are taking from me this term, and it rained so hard in the afternoon, I was deterred from walking to a Happy Hour somewhere to comfort myself.  By sheer default, Tuesday was better.

I'm thinking about dropping classes for the spring, packing my bag, and hitchhiking out of here.

Just saw this. PM or text me, I live like three miles away from you now. If you're dead set on this I can at least stock you up on supplies before you go and give you names/numbers of people you could stay with while you travel

Where to?

And Snowguy if I wasn't gay and she wasn't gay I'd 100% ask her out but for now I guess we're stuck being best buds Smiley.

WVU and Ohio State.

I'd go to WVU if I were not pursuing a career in the Florida GOP. My family is from West Virginia and I have several relatives who went (and loved) WVU.

Since New Years, I have started on a paleo/low carb diet and I plan to stay on it for about 2 months. I actually feel better than I have ever felt and am sleeping and have more energy than I have in the past.

The only thing I really miss right now is toast, pizza, and beer, and eating out can be a bit of a chore, but so far I am proud of myself for sticking with it. It's just odd to be eating more fat than I am used to, but I am down 8 pounds since New Years day. I didn't need to lose weight, but I feel so much better than I did a few weeks ago.

I received author copies of my second book from the publisher today and distributed a few to friends.  Nice feeling.

Finished my last applications. Home free at last!

Wait, except I have to do interviews and scholarships. And decide on which school I'm going to go to. Which will probably end up being UNC vs. Alabama vs. Whatever the most prestigious school I get into is, if I get into a prestigious school.

Finished applying to the Masters of Education program at my current university. Should be interesting. I did not thrive in undergrad, and I'm afraid my willing sacrifice of participation and attendance marks might bite me in the ass, but whatever.

I don't want to come off as rude, but didn't you identify as asexual at one point?

Ugh, I'm sick. Funnily enough I've come down with a nasty cough just as I'm starting to read Stephen King's The Stand.

First day of work here, sounds fun enough although the interesting stuff begins next week when classes begin. I'm really looking forward to that! Also working with some cool people.

I *might* be going to the Grateful Dead's last ever concert in Chicago this July. My dad said he'd pay for my ticket and that of a friend if the price is under $500 and I can safely find my way up there. Pray that the tickets don't sell out by tomorrow night.

RIP ):

Naw but for real, I adore that book.  One of the few I've read multiple times.  If you haven't read I hope it is your thing, as I loved it.

They're one of those intensely annoying pairs of people that feels the licenses to have public displays of affection, disgusting perverts they are.
