I'm dyeing my hair black to go as Simone Weil to a Halloween party. It's the first time I've ever colored my hair.

Hah, yes. I can see that.

Hah, yes. I can see that.

I probably should have contoured or something but I'm not good enough at makeup for that. In the end I just dyed my hair, dressed real shabby, and adopted this fixed archaic smile that (by design) got more pained and forced as the evening progressed.

Just went with my friend and his wife to the Goodwood Plantation to see Leftover Salmon. Most fun I've ever had at a bluegrass festival. I clogged danced/randomly and drunkenly jumped around in circles until I was drenched in sweat.

Looks like I'm making headway on my "final paper" for my Sociology of Deviance class, which will focus on different sociological/social science theories as to the cause of terrorism.

This month has been a tough one, I've buried three people who are very close to me. Earlier on October I buried my uncle, then today I buried one of my good friends and on Wednesday I bury an aunt of mine.

sorry to hear this Sad

For the record, this says way more than it needs to:

This is exactly why I'm getting a degree in both poly sic and Us History.

U.S. history is even less employable than a political science degree...

My last day at work today here in Manizales. I was sad to leave the university behind even if I didn't like it much. I can't imagine how sad I'm going to be when I leave the country for good on Monday morning. I have come to love Colombia so much.

I am at a hotel in Orlando (a very, very nice one by the convention center) in a room paid for by the firm I intern with. Tomorrow I'm off to the Sunshine State Summit! If I meet The Donald, I'll post the picture. Or if I meet Jim Gilmore (who somehow can afford a ticket. I bet he's staying at a Best Western).

Our quiz bowl team qualified for nationals on Saturday, so that was fun. We came in 2nd out of 36 teams, only losing to the #11 team in the country.

Elected President of my chapter for the 2016 year. After around a year-and-a-half of being on the Executive Council and giving speeches every end-of-term for other offices, this is my last run. After 2016, I'll have one more semester of undergrad that I gotta cram two senior seminars and one honors thesis into.

Congrats! Thats awesome! I served in numerous exec positions of my fraternity during my college years, but I lost the race for President both times I ran.

I'm absolutely convinced that ISIS is going to attack us/try to attack us on Black Friday. I haven't been paranoid about a potential terrorist attack since 2007, but I actually have this lingering paranoia about it for some reason. Then again, I never have and never will go shopping on Black Friday, nor do I think ISIS is going to attack Tallahassee (or anywhere close to Florida, for that matter).

If I'm wrong, feel free to make fun of me. But what if I'm right? Tongue

Nah, ISIL, will turn the Goodrich blimp into a bomb to use against the Super Bowl only to discover that us decadent Americans put rooves on our stadia.

Well, I'm heading up to Canada that morning, so I'll either be stuck in at the border or stuck in Canada if that's the case.

I'm figuring out the symptoms of depression and sort of thinking about in the context of my life, and have come to realize I've been in a deep depression for years now. Going to try to get help.
