I designed a new kind of voting method that I'm going to show to my university's math dept (for my math and politics class) and see if it has any legitimate usefulness. If it turns out to be useful, who knows, maybe I can get some small municipality somewhere to try it out.

You should give us a preview of it

I haven't patented it yet Wink

Found out how I'm related to King David (and therefore Jesus) so that's cool.

While flying to Savannah, I dropped my phone on the floor of the aisle as the drink cart was rolling forward. It rolled over it and cracked it badly, and now it won't turn on so I guess I need a new phone :/

I had met an awesome Georgetown guy at a gay bar in DC and we had a really nice chat but then I later forgot his name when I went back home due to my lack of sobriety, BUT then I later matched him on Tinder and now we're meeting up for coffee after spring break Smiley

Does anyone know PredictIt? I might be getting a job there over the summer. I'm heading over to their office later to check it out (I live about 15 minutes away).

I have an interview on Monday for a summer internship with Senator Murphy, but I also have spring fling this weekend so there's a decent chance I'll be very hungover/still drunk.

If you'd rather go to the conference, you should probably go. You wouldn't be an arsehole for calling off work on a day that you had specifically said you wouldn't be available for already. Plus, you have a commitment to your friends as well.

I received an offer to work for Senator Blumenthal but I also applied for Senator Murphy. I have to respond to Blumenthal by Thursday, but I probably won't hear back from Murphy until later than that (I prefer Murphy but Blumenthal is good as well). Should I take Blumenthal, or risk it and hope that I get Murphy?

I'll be in Israel for the next 10 days, maybe I'll run into some Republican candidates.

I'm heading to DC starting July 4th weekend, but I'm a little worried about the terror attack warnings. Also, I'll be interning in the Senate for most of the Summer once I get there, so stop by and I can give you guys tours inside the Capitol building (the code word is jao).

If anyone's in DC this week and uses PredictIt, there's a trader appreciation night on Thursday that I'm speaking at (I'm the number 1 ROI trader so they invited me). It should be fun Smiley

Just found out that one of my volunteers fINKSed me over big time today and stole fifty doors from me that I'd have otherwise gotten credit for.

That sucks, what campaign/work is this for?

I'm slightly worried about being targeted for appearing like an insider trader due to a slight miscommunication in an interview. I think everything will be fine, but still a bit nervous.

?

Because of some work I did related to DraftKings. An article I was quoted in made it appear like I may have been involved in the scandal, but I got the mess sorted out so it's all good now.

I'm currently organizing an event at GW that will be kind of like a mock primary for the presidential election, and takes place shortly before the Iowa Caucus. I have a bunch of ideas I'm working on, but I was wondering if anyone here could suggest something I could do to make it better. I was thinking the students (only GW students can vote) select the candidate they support, and offer additional information like Party ID, home state, political idealogy, etc and then use that to make some cool maps and charts. Thoughts?

I'm trying to get a summer internship/job doing politics and elections stuff, so I just applied for positions at NPR, PredictIt, and I'm somewhat ashamed to say this but 538. Hoping for the best!

A good friend of mine is running for office in New York and I'm going to be helping on his campaign a bit, so I'm pretty excited. The seat could determine the balance of power in the State Senate.
