LOL.  That is not good for Perdue obviously.  I still don't think Georgia will elect a democrat senator in this political environment.  The GOP has an advantage in the run off because 3rd party candidates take votes from the GOP.

Interesting. Perdue was supposed to be strongest candidate from that clown-car primary but this is the second gaffe this week (the other being the terrorist ad)

Well, Perdue always had more upside and more downside than Kingston.  As a seasoned campaigner, Kingston could have more easily put this year's race away, but he is just so culturally Southern that he would be in deep trouble by 2020/26 if GA goes where its demographics suggest.  If Perdue wins this time, he's assembling the GOP coalition that would win 2020's GA.

To be fair, Perdue could spit in voters' faces and kill small children on television and still be more electable than Broun or Gingrey.

Nunn is back. But Nunn still has to move mountains to win this race. This probably going to damage Perdue's reputation from now on though.

During the primary, he made some condescending remarks about how Karen Handel shouldn't be in the Senate because she didn't complete her college degree and hasn't traveled abroad as much as he has. I would think that would have been low hanging fruit to use against him among non-upscale white voters.

Perdue doubles down, says he's "proud" of all the outsourcing he did.

I have always believed that Kingston is a better candidate than Perdue.

Is he trying to lose?

I mean, I think he'll still win (even if it takes a runoff to decide), but why would he admit to this?!?

My point is that Perdue is more and more looking like a Romney clone. Tongue Someone should dig up those secret bank accounts in Bermuda or Bahamas as well. Wink

He better watch out before he does a Braley (i.e. piss away what should be an easy win with boneheaded piggishness.)

Luckily for Perdue, there aren't nearly as many swing/persuadables in Georgia as there are in Iowa. But yeah, he does seem to be pulling a Braley.
