At a bustling Long Island Costco today, candidate for Northeast Senate Lief met with potential voters, including the vital black lady constituency which many political observers are predicting will form his most dedicated base. He reportedly tried every sample in the store at least once, returning to the mini microwaveable corn dogs stand to discretely pick up a second serving which he told the Costco employee was, quote, "for his mom."

He purchased a years supply of paper towels, and blasted the "incompetent fools" in the regional and federal government who legalized incest while waiting in line for the guy at the exit of the store to check his receipt.

BREAKING: Lief sets out on final campaign swing



With election day fast approaching, former President Lief set out on a mad dash across the region today, promising to eat a slice of pie in every state before polls open this weekend. At a stop in Boston, he blasted Boston creme pie for being "more of a cake", before accusing the waiter that had served of it to him of being bought and sold by the trillion-dollar incest lobby that has filled the airwaves with filthy attack ads in recent days.

Later in the day, he met with supporters in Vermont, where he called for Vermonters to come out to the polls and vote for the only candidate promising to work towards a Vermont independence referendum.

Finally, he met with supporters at 2 a.m. at a 24-hour grocery store in New Jersey, where he blasted the Senate and the President for their inaction on soaring meat prices.

Well, we gave them a hell of a fight didn't we? When I joined this race, only a few weeks ago, no one gave us a shot. They told me that a candidate could never be successful in this region running on an anti-incest, pro-turning-the-entire-state-of-Oklahoma-into-a-theme-park-celebrating-Update platform. But we sure proved them wrong. I am very happy with our showing. Thank you all so much for your support. I could not have done it without you.

Congratulations to Senator-elect Matt, and congratulations to our new governor as well. And I am very happy to see my good friend Napoleon elected to the Assembly! I hope y'all keep in mind the message of this election: the people are fed up. They are sick and tired. No more business as usual in Nyman and whatever the capital of the Northeast (god help you if you monsters picked Philadelphia). All across the country, challengers running bold, visionary platforms upset the entrenched old order. Remember, you work for the people. They are your boss. Go into work every day, vote on every bill, asking yourself, "What would The People do?"

STATEMENT ON THE MIDWEST RE-CALL

Former President Lief today endorsed Governor Lebron James for re-election in the Midwest. He implored the good people of the Midwest to reject the attempts by craven partisans to recall the governor and two-time Olympic gold medalist, and suggested that the governor move quickly in the aftermath of an unsuccessful recall to strike back at his enemies, crush them, and then use the resulting chaos and vacuum in opposition leadership to consolidate regional power for himself.

Press Conference -- Burlington, Vermont



Thank you for being here today. A few months ago, I set out on a journey. People across the country were telling me they were sick and tired of business as usual. My home region had been wracked by civil war and turmoil, the executive was in chaos, and our legislators didn't seem to care about the real problems facing this country. The ordinary, hard-working people of Atlasia, those so often ignored by the arrogant and entrenched politicians, needed a voice. I jumped into the race at the last minute, against a powerful and well-funded incumbent and his equally organized challenger. With little funding, only a grassroots organization, and the headwind of millions of dollars of negative advertising against me by some of the most pernicious special interest lobbies in this country, we still managed to claim a very impressive showing of nearly 25%.

I said when that election ended that our work was not done. The hard-working people of Atlasia need a voice, and not one bought and paid for by special interests or disgustingly immoral lobby groups. They need someone who is brave, who is ready to roll up his sleeves, get his hands dirty, and lead a bold and transformative revival of our great Nation. Today I throw my hat into the ring for the upcoming senate election. I would be honored to earn your support and your help, in restoring common sense Atlasian values back to Nyman.
