Basically, Begich's team is curb stomping the Republican field operation. They claim to have knocked on every rural Alaskan door. I expect the race to be much closer than anticipated. Alaskan incumbents are generally underrated.

Alaska polling is garbage because 10% of the population is transient and 20% is rural and doesn't have reliable phone (let alone internet) service. We won't know who is ahead until the results start coming in. I think Begich pulls through.

Ground work matters, especially in close races and Begich is going to turn out some voters that probably wouldn't normally turn out.

Begich has six times as many paid staffers- that's gotta be a great boost considering I doubt it's easy to convince volunteers to go door to door in 40 degree weather
